As your County Commissioner, Al will represent the voice of Brevard County residents and their concerns. From property tax and insurance issues to growth management and conservation of natural resources, Al will utilize his public service experience and community involvement to lead the way for common sense solutions to the issues affecting the people of Brevard County. As Commissioner, Al will focus his attention mainly in six different areas; property taxes, homeowner's insurance, NASA, economic development, growth management, and the environment.

PROPERTY TAXES
Eliminate waste, inefficiency and duplication of services within County Government and return those savings to the taxpayers of Brevard.

Reverse 2006 Fire Fee Assessment and restore an equitable taxing method.

Prioritize county services to support the health, safety and welfare of residents.

HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE
Work with State and Local officials to ensure available and affordable homeowners insurance for all residents.

Support change to State law requiring insurance companies to return premiums to policy holders that are cancelled without making any insurance claims.

NASA
Solidify Brevard County as a key player in the next generation space vehicle programs and activities.

Support economic development activities regarding space exploration, space tourism, and high tech opportunities for Brevard.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Recruit new business ventures related to emerging technological fields like alternative fuel development and bio-medical industries.

Support programs that retain and continually educate Brevard’s workforce.

GROWTH MANAGEMENT
Create and support a Citizen Advisory Panel to review and make recommendations on the Brevard County Comprehensive Plan.

Support Small Area Studies and Joint Planning Agreements to determine future annexations and growth.

ENVIRONMENT
Support innovative energy efficient green building technologies.

Promotes the conservation and preservation of native habitat.

Encourage conservation of limited natural resources and protect available clean air and water.
